There is a faint buzzing sound coming from the 50HDX82 TV. If I turn up the volume of the TV, then one does not hear it, but if you do the '1/2' mute, you hear it a lot, if you mute it completely, you do...

I know this will sound stupid but try it, unplug just power cord, leave it unplugged for 2 hours then plug it back in. This will reset it to factory setting and if this issue was caused by a power issue it will fix it.

I have lost all sound on my tv. You can hear snapping or popping but the sound is real faint on highest setting.

Hello,

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Unless you changed some sound settings right before that happened then the likely cause is that your tv's internal speakers have blown. Which will cause that really faint sound even when the volume is all the way up.

If your TV has an audio out connection you can try hooking it up to surround sound or a receiver with some speakers. You may be able to use your tv this way and get sound.

Otherwise you will have to make use of your warranty if the TV is still covered. If not then there is nothing more I can suggest. Repair cost might be more than hooking it up to an external sound system.

Post back if you have any further questions or comments.Thank you for choosing Fixya.

The volume is on headset. how can i change it to normal.

First, Unplug the Headset from the tv. Then see if you have sound coming from the tv speakers. If not then go into the User menu and select Audio and look for any settings such as "Mute" or "Speakers "on,"off" or sound "off". and select the correct option to correct the issue.

Volume won't turn down

Try the setup program. When you get to the main setup screen, look for a reset all to standard setting. That may solve the problem. If it doesn't then the sound module may need to be replaced inside the TV.

Audio Levels are a mess??

connect a pair of headphones to your telly and see if the sounds is correct at all volume levels.

This will at least tell if you if it is the audio processing or simply the speaker/amplifier section
