Hi dfabin,

Does the screeching come from the motor area or the brush/belt area?

If it's from the motor. Turn it off. It needs repair.
If it's from the brush/belt area, most likely your belt is either slipping or rubbing on something.
Do you have an owner's manual?
If you do, and the noise come from the belts, take the belt(s) off and check them for wear, stretching, anything imbedded in them. Be sure to clean all debris out of the area. and reassemble. If still noisy, the belt may be slipping and needs to be replaced.
Here's a site where you can view the parts breakdown and order parts: http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/Bissell-Healthy-Home-Models-5770-5990-6100-6405-s/600.htm

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Hi, my dc07 cleaner has developed a very high pitch screech its not a constant sound but intermittent and last for a second or two and is very unpleasent, its a loud cleaner anyway but this noise is so...

hi.
it sounds like the bearings in the motor are worn out. the only solution is to change the motor, or the entire hoover. motors are available from ebay for about £35 and it will then need to be fitted. unfortunately these bearings do wear out eventually. once they start to make screeching noises like this, there is not much life left in them, and they will get worse rapidly.
if you decide to change the motor yourself, please feel free to ask for more details on how to do it.
hope this helps

E2 gold series - makes loud noise on start up

That is normal. All E2 two speed Rainbows make that sound. It is because it has a brushless motor that the computer is controling, and the computer is controling everything. The motor rotor has no coils on it on the rotor, which is very small and light, and the computer gives it a small power boost when you first turn on, then increases the power until ir reaches full speed.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

Loud screech when engaging brush

you will need to have the clutch change or the brushroll replaced. to change the brushroll you will need a special belt tool. you can get one on ebey for about $15. you could call dyson and find one of the service centers in your area.

Easy-Flo 1525 will not turn off

There is a relay back on the master unit. When the hose is plugged into the inlet the metal on the coupling completes the electrical circuit to the relay. In your case the coupling has a split and the circuit continues to the switch in the handle. As long as there isn't any conductive surface left across any of the contacts in any of the inlets, the relay is hung up. I never heard of that happening until today when I responded to the exact same problem on a different machine. The relay needs to be replaced.
The "screeching" on the other hand should have nothing to do with the relay. That sounds like a motor bearing without proper lubication and/or going bad.

We have a Bissell Clearview Revolution #3595 and the motor when turned on Screeches, loudly, it does ****, just incredibly noisy we have already changed the belt

Sounds like a bad motor, part # 2032211It would cost around $60 for a new one. Did you check the brush roll to see if it is making alot of noise, if it is then replace it.
