My irver does not work i have changed the battery three times and it does not work

try to change the battery on the system its self.

my canon powershot a495 has a problem.
it always shows low battery and turns off. i have changed to new batteries three times but the same problem. i bought 3 months ago

I took advice in previous posts and went to http://www.iriver.com/support/down_list.asp
I selected the kind of iRiver I had - then selected software and drivers and selected the 2nd choice (Using iriver plus 3 with Window XP SP2) I downloaded and installed and it seemed to work with Vista. iRver does claim to work with Vista but so far Windows Media Player seems to accept it.

You need to reset and format your player. To reset your player, just take the battery off for a couple of minutes and then re-attach it. To format your iRiver, run iriver plus (2) -> Option -> Portable Device Initialization. Hope this helps!
