if hookimg up to a pioneer deck its just more simple by just plugging it in to the back of the stereo. but if u are going through an fm modulater u must adapt antenna to the radio and hooking up ground and ignition to power up box. if needing color configuration please call us at car r us audio at 520-882-8979
the best bet is sony to sony / ford to ford/ pioneer to pioneer/ you can go down to wally world and pickup a decent reciever for about $150.00 and you will save a lot of head aches tryin to adapt& cut and you will still not know why the factory cd changer quit working..
Yes there is an adapter. It will help you from getting a big headache. The wires will match from the stereo to the adapter and all that will have to be done is use an installation bracket. Plug and play. Trust me spend the approx. extra $40 dollars for the installlation kit and installation harness. Both can usually be bought at an autoparts store or even wal-mart.
I think the factory used one wiring harness for all the radio's, on a low cost radio you just plugged in the connectors needed for the radio setup in the vehicle and the rest of the connectors are just laid aside. You can't just buy a radio harness, you buy the entire wiring harness for the cab, in any event check this out on the harness and see if the connectors are their.
honestly you most likely can not unless you purchase the fm modualator allowing you to hook it threw your antena and you wont be able to control it threw you deck (head unit)
You can call any authorized service center for Pioneer and ask them to order one for you. You must get it from Pioneer.
Use this link to find a Pioneer authorized service center by putting your information in the menus at the top right. Then call the closest one to your home and they can get it for you.
The system remote control is usually a blue wire on your decks harness and it is for an amplifier for a sub or other speakers. It sends power to the subs amp when the deck is turned on. You may need to find the wires coming off the antenna and splice them into the red power switching wire 12v on you decks wire harness. Good luck
