Try first unplugging power cord, pulling out cartridges, and putting them back.
Restart the computer.
Ensure you removed the cellotape strip from new cartridges, and that cartridges are properly installed.
Ensure that the printer is set as default printer in Windows.
Print a test page from control panel>>printers>>properties.
If
all the above does not work, try a replacement USB cable, just in case,
then proceed reinstalling the driver software. Follow the method below
to reinstall software:

Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthe
file, double click on the file , then if you getintroubles,followthe
instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:
- Unplug printer USB.
- Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
- Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
- Follow driver installation wizard.
- Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
i have a hp deskjet 3740 printer, lost the disk to have it reinstalled. also had the computer cleaned out and they removed the printer. how can i reinstall the printer.
