Maytag French Door MFI2569 makes "ticking" noise when compresssor starts. The ticking is getting louder and more frequent with time. The unit is less than 6 mo. old.

The blades are not bent but it does seem to be fan related as I can hear something (water?) hitting the blades. It's the kind of noise that sounds like when you stick someting in a fan. But that sound is rare and only last a few seconds. The other times, it's tick..tick. tick,tick. and then it stops. Weird. Ok the only thing i can suggest is pull the Fridge out take the shroud off the fan motor make the fan come on and watch it..it could be fan hitting the shroud or it might be the drain pan under the fridge or it may need a drop of 3 in 1 oil in the bearing,i know this is not a solution to your problem but i hope this will steer u in the right direction......
