Deleting music sony nwz-s616f mp3 player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. When the player is connected to your computer you can add and delete the music files. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Unable to play music from the music folder on a e260 anymore. rest of the unit works perfect. Is there a software update i can download? install new drivers? or throw it out and get a ipod?

Under the Settings menu, there should be an option that lets you reset the player to factory settings, and/or erase all media on the player. Do that, and then copy all your songs back onto the player.

How do i get ride of my music already downloaded from rashpody?

Use Windows Media Player 11 to delete those songs off of there - the Rhapsody downloads won't work after the 30-day trial has expired anyways:
To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

Not playing songs/ transferring to MP3 player on Rhapsody.

You probably have to redownload the songs again. Forget about the pictures, this player is pretty buggy, it's not worth it.

The manual is helpful isn't it?

Your music and pictures need to be installed onto a SD memory card. Take an empty card and copy the MP3 or pictures onto the card. Install the card into the GPS. Use the correct player (for pics or MP3) and see if it detects the music on the memory card.

It seems like it works the same way if you were to put music or photos onto a Palm. It may need a special folder on the card to read the photos or MP3s. I would put it into the GPS first, let the GPS format it, and see if it creates folders for them.

Mp3 having corrupt files and space problems

Contact the manufacturer's website/phone number for more details, but the database is corrupt and will need a firmware upgrade to resolve. Most manuf have the upgrade available via their website (unless it's one of the out-of-business companies).

Dleting unwanted music

If you haven't downloaded any music yet, go to settings, system, erase all, and select yes. If you have downloaded other music onto your mp3 player, go to settings, USB mode, media manager, and I believe there's some way to delete it individually that way. Though I haven't tried it yet.

There's always using your computer, go to my computer, select the insignia media drive, look for your music files and delete the music you don't want.
