When I try to install the software for my Pentax Optio E50 Digital Camera I get a message: "Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic." I have no idea what to do. I am using Windows XP. Is it referring to the camera software or to Windows; and then what?

These cards usually have little tabs on them to "lock" and "unlock" them. Try moving the switch and see if that works. If not, you can also try using the card on another camera or a computer (through a card reader) to see if that works.
From Pentax. There is nothing in the software that you need to operate your camera. The software only provides imaging programs that you can use to change your images. Download a program from Google like Picasso, it's free and as a rule better software.
