I cannot download the pictures from my Exilim EX-Z40 digital camera into my PC running under Windows 7. Thanks

The last "review" I saw on this camera was in 2007 so, the camera firmware is not compatible with the newer PC operating systems "Windows 7. To continue using this camera you will need to buy a memory card reader for the type of card being used or a multiple card reader and plug the reader into your PC's USB port. The computer then looks at the memory card as an external hard drive.

You would create a "new" folder in something like "My Documents" on the PC and copy past the picture files into the new folder.

Once on the computer don't forget to do a "safe" disconnect of the memory card or you could crash the system.

Now that the pictures are on the computer hard drive you can open them in an image program like Photoshop.

When you buy another camera this whole system can follow forward even without installing the camera software programs.

Technology has advance further then your camera has programing capabilities.

Hope this was a help

8. makikita mo dun yung mga natransfer mong themes and pindutin mo yun
9. tapos install mo and follow mo na lang ang instruction sa cp mo
10. pagtapos mo install, delete mo na lang yung theme kasi naka install na un sa cp mo.
11. pde mo na ding di delete para back up.

I spilt a cup of tea over my mobile phone!saved my memory stick-but am computer illiterate so have no idea how to save my pictures to my laptop(an unwanted christmas present from my grand daughter)

Ok.. so here's what you need and what you need to do, to save on your laptop the pictures from the memory card of your mobile...

you need....
to buy an All-in-One USB Card Reader, the cd driver comes with this unit if you buy this at any electronic store..

you need to do....
1. On your laptop..insert the cd driver of the All-in-One usb card reader... install the driver by clicking the filename with extension ".exe" (example: Install.exe)
2. Once installation is complete, see in your laptop a usb socket...Insert the all-in-one card reader from any of the usb socket.
3. Check on your window, a small popping message will appear on the taskbar (lower right corner of your desktop) displaying Found New Hardware..Once a message displayed Your Hardware is Installed and Ready To USE.. you can now insert the memory card of your mobile on the card slot of the card reader..
4. Now browse your files from the memory card...Click My Computer.. a removable drive will appear (example: Removable Drive (F:)) double click on this drive....list of files will be displayed..
5. Now select picture files that you will save to your highlight the name of the files you want to copy by clicking the file name once... then on the top of the page you will see the Edit Menu....Press it and select copy..
6. Now where do you want to save? recommended is on My Documents.. it can be found on the desktop..
Minimize the window...on your desktop, double click My Documents...double click My Pictures folder..on the Edit menu again, select paste....then your files will be save on My Documents under My Pictures folder...

Hope you understand these instructions... please comment if you still need things to clarify..

Please rate this solution if this help you..thanks..

Retrieving pictures from the internal memory

this can be done using a memory card reader.

please use a memory card reader so that every time you dont rely on your camera cable and software for transfer of the photos.

card readers are very cheap.

also you can even directly connect the camera with memory card to the PC. and the camera will show as one of the external devices.
