I have unplugged it and plugged it back in and held every buttom on there and yet it still remains in eco power mode.

SOURCE: Power on problem

Well this helped me find the relay but I found that after i pulled it off the board that it has some corosion around the metal prongs that hold it to the board. Could not get the relay open to do what is posted above , tryed opening it several times. Not sure if you are supposed to open it but could someone let me know. I am scraping around the prongs to get the corosion off hoping it will help but might just replace it alltogether. Further info on how to open the relay to do what is posted would help, I would appreciate any help, plzzzzz! :)

SOURCE: Not booting

When the unit remains at the booting menu it is normally a sign that your Hard drive has failed. The hard drive in the wacs700 seems to run extremely hot, probably due to it's encaged location and poor airflow. It is possible to replace the drive yourself but it is fiddly.

You could send the unit back under warranty or get it repaired.

I charge £50 + cost of the HDD + postage to repair the fault.
No fix = no fee but you will need to pay for return postage. I only replace faulty Hard Drives and don't carry out other fault finding repairs. HDD Choices up to 300GB.

How do I program my Magnavox universal remote to my Philips Magnavox fw530c mini Hi-Fi stereo

To program your Magnavox universal remote to your Philips Magnavox FW530C mini Hi-Fi stereo, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your Philips Magnavox FW530C mini Hi-Fi stereo manually.
  2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your Magnavox remote until the indicator light turns on.
  3. Press the "Device" button on the remote, which should be the button corresponding to your stereo.
  4. Enter the 3-digit code for your stereo. You can find a list of codes for Philips Magnavox products in the user manual for your universal remote or online. If you do not have the manual or cannot find the code online, try entering codes 006, 007, 010, 011, 013, 016, 027, 033, 035, 043, 066, 087, 089, 114, 117, 118, 119, 120, or 123.
  5. Press the "Power" button on the remote to see if the stereo turns off. If it does, you have successfully programmed the remote. If it does not, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code until you find one that works.
  6. Once you have programmed the remote to control your stereo, test out the other buttons to make sure they work as well (such as volume control, track skip, etc.).
Note: If you cannot find a code that works for your stereo, you can also try the "Code Search" function on the remote. This may take some time, but it will automatically search for the correct code until it finds one that works.

Sony Mini Hi-Fi Component System (MHC-RG660)

I understand the problem. It should be the relay which is not responding, technically not able to connect the system power supply, you will have to replace the relay. The STK chip should be working fine.
