1- sound: this is a XP driver and there is no win7 driver but it works correctly on windows7.get the driver form this link:

There is likely a reason that you are re-installing a OS.
Your HD is Dead.
You should buy a new Hard Drive and install the OS on that.
Another option would be ,.. you have other OS's that were not properly installed and the hard drive is telling you that there is a prob like a F6 driver issue.
Depends on what OS was installed on it to begin with.
