Looking
at the specs for your TV, it does not appear to have the jack for
earphones.
You
will have to connect an audio receiver to
your TV and use the reciever's jack.

Try using the "source" or "input" button on your tv or remote control.
That will cycle through any ports that are being used (hdmi, component, rca, etc)
Hope this helps!
Decide
what type of connection to use. Look at the back of your DVD player. It
should at least have RCA (red, yellow, white) output ports. It may also
have component out, S-video out, VGA out, or HDMI out. These
connections vary in picture quality and price, HDMI being the most
expensive and providing for the highest-quality picture. Whichever type
of connection you decide to use, you also need to verify that you have
the same connection on your TV. Flat screen TVs typically have more
connection options than other types of TVs, so you should at least have
component, RCA and HDMI inputs.
Connect
the DVD payer to the flat screen TV. Take one end of the cable or
cables you decided to use and connect to the output on the DVD player.
The other end should be connected to the corresponding input on the TV.
Video input connections are usually found on the sides of flat screen
TVs. Once the DVD player has been connected, you are ready to use your
DVD player.
Check
DVD player functionality. Tune your TV to the input that you used for
your DVD player by pressing the button on your remote labeled "input,"
"source," "TV/video," Source select," "TV/AV" or the like. For
instance, if you used an HDMI cable plugged into your TV's "HDMI 1"
input, press the input selection button until you see HDMI 1 on the
screen. Power on the DVD player, insert a DVD into the player and press
play and you should now see a feed from your DVD player.
Hi, Definitely
a TV issue for me. Changed Wii to another input on TV and resolved
situation. Need now to check how to get my TV to recognize colour on AV2 & 3 because I prefer to keep DVD input as AV1!
I
had to use the (RCA) video inputs and not the component inputs. These
are the ones made for video games. If you want to use the component
input (Component cables are Red,White Red, Green, Blue). If you don't
have any, you should be able to purchase them at your local electronics
store like Radio Shack or Best Buy. Hope this helps, read below:
TV (This is your cable connection or TV; coax) Component 1 (Must use component cables for this input/output; Red and White for audio, Red, Blue, Green for Video) Component 2 (Must use component cables for this input/output; Red and White for audio, Red, Blue, Green for Video) HDMI 1 (HDMI Cable) HDMI 2 (HDMI Cable) Video 1 (Must Use RCA cables, or RCA jacks; Red and White for Audio, Yellow for Video) Video 2 (Must Use RCA cables, or RCA jacks; Red and White for Audio, Yellow for Video)

here are the only signal inputs located at the back of the tv. 1 x HDMI input ( 19 pin HDMI Type A )
2 x component video input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x VGA input ( 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) )
Audio line-in ( RCA phono x 2 )
2 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN )
2 x composite video/audio input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x headphones ( mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm )
1 x SPDIF output ( TOS Link )
1 x audio line-out ( RCA phono x 2 )
1 x subwoofer output ( RCA phono )
1 x serial
If you are looking for a coaxial cable input.. it is actually not available so you have to connect a converter from coax cable to RCA cable for you to connect it on your tv.
Hi! I will be more than glad to assist you. I f you are going to hook up your cable box - motorola to the sherwood receiver, connect an hdmi cable to the back of the motorola cable box, there is only 1 hdmi output there, then connect the other end to the sherwood receiver on the hdmi input, then connect another hdmi cable to the hdmi output and the other end goes to your rca hd tv.
for the sony dvp, you have only one hdmi out, connect an hdmi cable to the back of the sony dvp if u have another spare. connect it to the hdmi input of the sherwood receiver. there is only 1 hdmi output at the sherwood, so u need to use a component cable to be connected at the back of the sherwood receiver component output then the other end goes to the component input of the hd tv.
if you dont have anymore hdmi cable to hook up your sony dvp, u can use component cable, the connection will goes like this, connect a component cable on the output of the sony dvp and the other end goes to the sherwood component input then connect another component cable to the component output of the sherwood and the other end goes to the rca hd tv on the component input.
I hope this will solve your concern, if you have any question, u can get in touch..

In order of picture and sound quality -- from best to worst:
1. The best way to connect, assuming your TV and A/V Receiver and/or Cable Box have the jacks, is to use a HDMI cable ( this cable is for both sound and video).
2. Use Component Video out to input (3 RCA plugs, Red, Blue & Green) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).
3. Use S-Video out to input (1 din plug) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).
4. Use Video out to input (1 RCA plug, yellow) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).
Be sure to select the correct inputs on your TV and Audio/Video receiver when you are watching TV. For example if you have connected your TV to HDMI 1 and DVD to HDMI 2, you will not see or hear anything if you don't select the correct input on your TV and A/V receiver for the input you want to see and hear.
Detailed connection instructions will be found in your owners' manuals.
