Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When i turn my camera on it says card error, how do i fix this?

This error usually denotes a problem with the connection between your SD card and camera unit. I would recommend trying a different card after making sure the "lock" switch on your SD card is switched to off (most newer cards have this feature).
If the new card you try still comes up with this same error, there would seem to be an internal issue with your camera itself. Replacement of internal parts can be a tricky process. I would recommend taking it back to the place of purchase and requesting an exchange, or contact the manufacturer.

How do i format a larger sandisk card and what are the stepts?

Hi

The Polaroid A515 digital camera can only use SD cards upto 1Gb. if you are trying to use a SanDisk 2Gb SD or a higher capacity SDHC card you will be disappointed.

I have a polaroid dvf-720 brand new and trying to record and 2mins and it says memory full? i dont understand, and i have a memory card that says card error, need help or im in trouble with the wife!

Ok so I have the same problem I went out and purchased an SD card...but it doesnt work. So I called Polaroid and you need to purchase a CLASS 6 SD card of 2gb or more for it to work properly...figures it does not say that in the manual.

Our polaroid digital camera i737 displays "Card Locked". We have checked the obvious in that the SD card is not locked and tried the card in other cameras and it works. Suggestions?

Somehow the card is set to read only in the software in the Polaroid. You will need to download the pictures onto a PC and then try to reformat the card in the camera. If that fails reformat on a PC and then try formatting in the camera. If that fails you will have to get another card.

Camera does not recognize memory card

Did you format your memory card before you tried to use it? Format your SD card in the camera first and see if you still have the problem. Also, check to make sure the switch on the card is not in the locked position.

Pictures are not being saved on my new SD card.

Hi Greg,
Make sure you format the card in the camera before you use it. Cards won't work most of the time, until you do. Also, check to make sure the switch on the side is not in the locked position.

Cannot seem to get my camera to work

The specifications on page 25 of the User's Manual state that only SD cards between 8MB and 1GB in size can be used in this camera. When I tried a larger-capacity 2GB SD card in this camera it reported that the card needed to be formatted even though the SD card worked fine in my desktop PC's SD card slot. Verify that the capacity of the SD card you're trying to use is 1GB or less, I suspect the error report about formatting is due to the SD card being larger than the camera can handle.

Changing memory cards

I WOULD PROBABLY SAY YOU HAVE A COMPATIBILITY PROBLEM BETWEEN THE POLAROID SD CARD AN YOUR KODAK CAMERA AND THAT IS WHY IT IS NOT FORMATTING. GO ONLINE TO EITHERS SITE AND ASK TO SEE IF THEY ARE COMPATIBLE. THIS MAY SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

Polaroid a520 camera

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
