My samson servo 200 has a channel problem. channel 2 does not work at all. channel 1 works, but I get both speakers playing from channel 1 although they are plugged into both channels. I have been using this amps for over 3 years and this problem just started.

I just repaired a servo 600 Right chan intermitent. I found a strain relief too tight to vol plug [or wire too short]. Solution "cut out the zap strap and re-strap leaving wire of of bundle and plug makes conection and locks into place. :O]

the speaker relay is garbage & meant to fail. In the last week i WAS HIT WITH 1999 Read\'s on my first solution. i TRIED to contact Samson to see if they were interested and have had no reply? Previous work [ waranty]completed showed a lack of abilty of the speaker relay! = [goof proofing] A week component. Earlyer today the "new plan" is to bypass the "cheesy" part ,But after plugging it and seeing the amp "stuck in protect mode I hit it with the handle of a screw driver at the back in the middle, and that worked! a cross between home sterio car audio & getto blaster

I had phrased the previous question with typo errors

When any electrical item doesn't work after being moved, suspect some kind of physical cause. Such as a bad soldering joint or other damage inside caused by an unknown bang or jolt during the move. Perhaps even an alien object inside like a metal pin etc.

My samson servo 300's sound keeps cutting out, want to spray some electronic cleaner but not sure where ?

Yes; It maybe the protection coming on and off. This means there is a short in a speaker wire , or a blown speaker. The amp has 2 options for speaker hook up.1/4" plug and direct wire. If you are using direct wire it is possible to have frayed ends hanging around and can cause a short. You can test the speakers by unplugging them at the speaker, before you turn on the amp. Then turn it on, if the clicking still persist's turn off the amp and disconnect the speaker wires from the amp . Turn the amp back on. If the clicking still persists there is an internal problem with the amp. If not then you defiantly have either a wiring or speaker problem . You can test the speakers by using a 9v battery . Hook up the speaker wire to the speaker and put the battery on the other end of the wire, you should hear the speaker pop and see it move.If it moves it is still good. Note* this is also a good method of making sure your speakers are in phase. The battery is marked + & - the speaker will move forward when + is applied to the + of the speaker. make note of which wire is the +. if you get one speaker backwards it will cancel the sound of the bass. so hook the + to the red on the amp. Hope this helps you

Hi, i have been suggested first a Samson servo 600, then a sx1200 is there a difference between the 2? is one better than the other?

the servo series is geared more towards studio applications and/or installs, while the sx series are geared for live pa applications. the servo 600 is 300 watts per channel @ 4 ohm, and the sx1200 is 450 watts per channel at 4 ohms. the sx amp can also be bridged over to mono mode, where it puts out, i think, 1100 watts mono.

the only variable i havent been able to cover is sound quality, and im not seeing those listings in the specs on the samson website
