My washing machine is not draining. I checked the hose and it is not blocked, I believe it is either the switch or the pump. Last week while on the spin cycle I opened the washer and it did not stop spinning like it normally does. It is fine during the wash cycle, but it will just click and stop when it gets to the drain portion. It is only 8 years old as well, so I hate to buy a new one if this can be fixed at a reasonable price. Any advice?
On your console there is two side panels that pop off from the top and two screws to remove and then swing the console back. You will notice a molex plug going into the washer on the right hane side. Unplug the machine and the top portion of that plug. Get a meter for continuity and if it beeps with a open lid or not when closed I would replace the switch.
