Peace Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!
1-it may be the belt squealing or high pitched nosies telling you it wants to go!
2- It more than likely is the rolling suspension that the drum spins on!I've seen the older models with one of 3 wheels that the drum rolls on is worn and wobbling or screaming or screeching etc.
3- I've seen also a few times that the motors heat shield, a simple piece if tin with two screws or bolts holding it down was "loose" and vibrating causing a loud metal squeal noise all the time or intermittently!!
If I were there hands on I could fix it!
Only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Unfortunely, another point to consider!!
How old is the appliance?
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!
You will be fine
Bless You ngafm1
