My zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3 has the restart problem.. When i try to restart modem from browser by 192.168.1.1 and tools then everything goes smoothly till there then after i clicked restart option, It seems ok as well.. BUT just after modem lights turned of and on mode before red light mode and completing the settings suddenly browser cancels the restarting screen and computer shows that it doesnt identify the modem -network mode.. I solve this prob. till now just by unplug all cables restart mode without connecting network cable then last action to plug it.. then there is no prob. BUT just for restarting especially when watching online videos... it is REALLY annoying.. So is there any specific solution i can do myself.. or i must send this to Service........Wierdly it happened and was solved by itself but then again nowadays it started again...

Have patience! It can take the modem/router 30 to 90 seconds to _FULLY_ restart, and to synchronize with the Internet Service Provider's network. Meanwhile, your computer may show "no network connection" or "network cable unplugged". Then, it takes 15 seconds for your computer to synchronize with your modem/router -- that 15 seconds is what you're experience if you unplug the cable, and then "last action to plug it".

SOURCE: I`VE GOT ZYXEL P-660HW-T1 WIRELESS MODEM I BOUGHT

You will have to reset the router to factory settings. There is a small hole in the back, depress the microswitch with a paper clip when the power is on. The default password is 1234. Some of these devices are general, while others are hardwired to work with certain providers. So if, say, this 660 is branded with embarq it is unlikely that you can set the parameters to work with other providers.

I should mention that if you care about security you should not use WEP - a cracker can break an internet connected WEP device in minutes with the right toolset. The protocol has many problems that simply can't be fixed, period. Consider using WPA2 with WPA backcompatability, as allowed by the 660.
