To take control of your nokia phone once again, you will need to reset the phone (by hard reset). Note that the hard reset will delete all files and applications on the phone, but the good thing is that your phone will be mad new once again. Firstly, ensure that you back up your files, apps, etc on your memory card. Secondly, don't insert your main sim into the phone before you reset it. Thirdly, on the idle screen of your phone, dial; *#7370# This will request for a security code. Now type in: 12345, then ok/send. The phone will restart, and everything willl be new again. Please, note that you new security code will be: 12345 . However, you can decide to change it as you wish. Thanks. Hope this helped.
you can't just format this kind of phones if you want to do formatting it should be connected to PC using special tool to be able to format this phone but you can set full factory settings by this code *#7780# it will ask you to enter security code which is by default 12345
hope it will help you
open it up completely...where the charging socket is at the bottom use a toothbrush and some alcahol ...theres dust and fluff shorting out the pins inside ....had this problem before...if you plug in an earphone(handsfree) it should work...
this is your 10 digit master code.. keep is safe because this cant be changed, only security code can be changed. this code will work everywhr whr it asks for SECURITY CODE (ex keypad unlock with security code, reset phone to factory settings, etc.)
I tried to switch on my cell with the data cable already attached. It kept on beeping on my pc but cel did not switch on.I detached the cord and switched on my cel.It showed the nokia logo and kept switchin on and off.Later i removed the battery, replaced it back and switched it on.And BANG!!! After 5 minz it switched on!!!!!!!!
As a quick solution I can offer you to go to the setup and change current profile to general (currently the phone is set to headset profile) it should fix your current problem.
The cellular should do it automatically after you removing the headset.
you can try in the future:
1. Close and open the cellular - easy
2. update software, maybe Nokia fix that bug.
