I have two Toshiba lap tops, I had the same problems which you have, tell you the truth, I took them to Bevely Hills factory warranty shop changed the mother board and then after eight months, I had some other problems, total five times in the repaire shop and finally passed the warranty. It is totally gone.
I know this can not help you at all, remember four years ago, Toshiba been suit, finally I got two years factory warranty for my lap tops, I wasted too much of my time to solve the problems but both lap top I can not use anymore,
