look for a coax cable connection on the back of your tv, connect antenna to booster, booster to tv, then in the set-up menu of tv, go to channel set-up, scan for channels
. Try putting you tv set to channel 3 or 4. Try your tv in all modes. Check the back also to see if in the right spots with the wires. Check your channel scan status, try it on anntena and try it on cable, run channel scan on both. good luck. Try vcr wires if cable wires dont work. vcr wires are yellow red and white. Try another cable cord sometimes they get old. Try looking at your remote and setting it to tv.
I have a 2000 model RCA P52923 and I had the same problem occur a couple of days ago. The sound hasn't worked for a couple of years, but the TV is connected to an RCA surround sound to resolve that issue. Most recently, while watching TV, it began to start scanning channels by itself. I shut it off and unplugged it for a couple of days, but each time that I turn it on, it begins to immediately start scanning each channel. Neither the remote, nor the channel buttons on the set are able to stop the scanning, and neither of them will perform any functions, including turning the set on and off.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Press any channel button on tv remote to switch its input source as TV to watch tv channels. As you said, screen shows Video-1 display that means tv is set on input-1 that need to be changed, press channel button on remote or tv front to shift it on tv channels mode. The unit must have a digital Tuner in it. This model do not come with a digital turner, so you are going to need a digital to analog converter box. And a High Definition Antenna. Once you have obtained these units go to your menu and select setup and switch to the the air mode and select channel scan.
Do you have the tuner locked out for use of HDMI input only?
Most of the time when a selection is not able to be hi-lited it is
because a feature that is activated locks out other selections.
