Hi,

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the Lens Mechanism of the Camera is damaged when it fell down. The Lens of the Camera is not focusing properly while capturing the images. As the issue is with the lens mechanism, the previously captured images are displaying normally. I suggest that you try resetting the Camera and check if the issue can be resolved.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the SET UP1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

Distorted/damaged pictures

Please check the image size (pixels x pixels) setting or the resolution (MP). Seems like the camera is shooting in low resolution. Have you used this memory card on a mobile phone or another camera? Format the memory card and try again.

SAF error message & blurry pictures

maybe you need a new memory card if your card is full sometimes it can cause a camera not to work or shut down because of an overload of files.  If you memory card is not full most likely your camera has a defect to it. I suggest you take to a person who specializes in fixing cameras by your company. For the burry picture thing, there are different settings on a camera and I'm pretty sure that there is one to sharpen the picture images.

My camera takes blurry pictures

I would try placing the camera on the table (very solid surface that doesn't move) then activating the self timer to take a picture. this will make sure you eliminate the chance that it's you and not the camera. if it still comes out blurry and you haven't inadvertantly switched it to manual focus, if the little thing has such a feature, you got a busted camera.

File error

File error comes when memory card needs to be formatted.  Please format memory stick in camera through Menu >> Format option.

Memory Stick reformatted in new camera

Digital Camera and Video Phone Number 1 800 222 7669 - it's automated, just say your model number, then "no" to accessories, then "no" to connection problems, then "picture" for ccd issues. Its that easy!
