Check these areas on your printer to see if you can locate them.

To select events that will raise alarms:
1. In the navigation pane, expand the Canon Devices node and the Configuration
node, and click Alarm Management.
2. Select the check box for each type of information you want alarms generated for.

Print copies have a grey cast. i replaced the toner cartridge holder but am still getting a grey cast. i have been using off brand toner replacement through amazon. i hope this can be fixed.

Hello,
it can be that the drum cleaning blade is poor quality or charge roller fault. To avoid the low quality repair of toner crg's and possiblle troubles related to repaird crg burst, use only original supplies or buy from verifed toner remanufacturers!

Hello,
is the copy/print full black or have streaks or have dots, or ...

First, remove the toner crg., and check the drum surface if it has toner leftovers or spots or streaks, or... if so replace the toner crg.

btw. It also can be the fixing unit, but if these is the problem then the toner will not be "baked" on paper and it can be wide solid black stripe on corner.

My MF8180C is asking to replace the K cartridge, and I have bought a 301 toner cartridge but the printer has a drum cartridge instead. How do I replace the black toner into the drum cartridge or do I have...

Hi,
the toner crg is located in front of copier, the drum is separated from toner and it removes if you open upper cover.

If the copier ask you for toner open front cover and replace toner.

You do not have to replace drum if the copier doesnt tell you to replace.

Hi. Everytime we use a new toner cartridge in our UF590, it works for so long and then has a paper jam evertime it tries to print a fax.

When did you replace the toner crg?
It may be that drum isnt turning, and when paper comes to the drum it jams.
New crg should resolve the problem.

But you also want to check the pick up, feed and separation rollers.

I have a canon imagerunner 1630 had a paper jam and had to pull drum to get it out, now can not get it back in correctly, display reads check toner/drum crg

Before reinstalling the drum make sure the Developer unit is correctly attached to the drum unit. The two clips ( Blue slides on top ) keep the two items together. Canon had two screws that were to added make sure the two stay together when removing the drum. Anyway make sure the drum is squarely installed with you insuring the rear is pushed all the way down. The sensor is located below drum near the entrance to the fuser. Good Luck
