Bosch SHX33AU0622 under-counter, hidden control dishwasher is not letting water into the unit. Before draining it, there was water inside which the pump seemed to move about listlessly, but not as quickly as when the system is pressurized with water. It appears to be the water inlet valve, as it was caked with iron (we are on a well), and this problem occurred shortly after a power outage, which means that small solenoid-type switch may have fried, when the power came back on several hours later, as the dishwasher was running when the power went out. After that, it didn't work right. I don't have any meters to check -- and the unit doesn't have a source to provide error codes (no display). In any case, the dishwasher is not getting water. The float is not stuck, we've had the dishwasher completely apart -- we suspect the inlet valve because it seems in the shut position. And -- I cannot find a water inlet valve online for my exact model, though I have for others and it looks similar -- If I find one for say a SHX33A06/14 will that work for the 22? And what designation is the 22 anyway? Thanks.

SOURCE: Bosch SHU4300 Water Fill Issue.

Similar problem for us turned out to be water accumulating in the tray which set off the float switch.  I vacuumed the water out and function returned to normal.  However, we are now facing a repairman's assertion the clay in our well clogged the water inlet systems necessitating $285 in repair parts and labor.

SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher not taking in water

May be open circuit water valve. Appliance will go to error mode if water level has not reached a certain height after a preset time. Check coil continuity with a multi meter. Should be looking for about 200 ohms.

SOURCE: Bosch SHU9925UC Dishwasher Stuck in Initial Drain Cycle

OK Bosch Dw fans.........here is the fix if your SHX dishwasher is stuck on the drain cycle. This may save you a couple hundred bucks.......so listen up. There is a tendency for the very small float switch to STICK in the ON position, which will cause the drain motor to continuously run......and DISallow any other function to work. DISCONNECT POWER. Did I mention to disconnect power? Take off the front base cover....2 torx screws. Remove the other 2 torx screws in the metal clips that fasten the top of the DW to the underside of your countertop. NOW...carefull slide your DW out. You may have to disconnect your water and elec supply if you do not have enough slack to pull it out. Once the DW is out of the cabinet, remove the shiny metal cover on the LEFT side by removing a single torx screw. You will now see a small plastic assembly with a red plastic piece that moves up and down as it rides on a small red styrofoam float. This up and down movement engages a small white plastic switch visible with 3 wires coming out of it. You can carefully UNSNAP this switch out of its mount, and pull the 3 wire plug off of it. THere is a small square blue plastic tab that is supposed to easily slide in and out of the switch. If it is stuck IN, you can sometimes tap the switch and the blue tab will pop out, which is what it is supposed to do without tapping it. You can carefully with a knife blade separate the case on this switch and note the way it comes apart. Clean out any micro debris out of the small channels that the blue tab ride up and down in. Then set it in the channel while holding up the small switch tab that rides on it and see if it slides up and down without sticking! I like to take a piece of wax paper and rub in on the channel and blue tap to provide some lube for the switch to slide easily on. Now, put the switch back on and manually move the red plastic assembly up and down while you are watching the blue tab. The tab should ride up and down with the red assy. If not, buy a new switch. Google the # on the switch and order one. If the tab slides up and down, put things together in reverse order and give it a try. Hope it works for you. This should take you an hour give or take. Take the $200 you just saved and have a night out on me. ........so even though these German Appliances have a good name because of past reliability, the american tendency to value engineer them with plastic parts to reduce costs and increase profit.........just cost you an hour of your time. Will we ever learn.? ......if it ain't broke, value engineer it until it only lasts through the warranty period so you can then collect service and parts blood money from your fellow american.

Dishwasher does not drain. Checked filters and drain line... they are all clear.

Water is pumped out by the machine via an internal pump located under the base. If it fails the water will collect until it trips the float valve. First scoop out all the water from the machine and run it again. If water comes in and it runs to the point it fills again and trips the float then either the pump or timer is faulty.

Pump check.

Remove the machine. It will be held in place by screws directly into the counter top. You may have to lower it to get it out. The front feet turn with a wrench to lower.

Turn off the water supply. Run the unit again until you get to the drain cycle.

Connect a test light or voltage tester to the terminals at the pump. Check for voltage at the pump. If you have voltage replace the pump. If no voltage the timer is faulty.

Timer problem?
Some can be replaced as a unit others are integral to the control panel. Remove the control panel

Turn the breaker off. Remover the screws from around the door frame and from inside the door frame. Gently remove the control panel. Disconnect and remove the timer.
Installation is the reverse of removal.

Hope this helped you. Please rate if so.

Drain pump won't turn off

Hi,

The reason the drain pump continously runs is because it is trying to remove any water too avoid any further flood as there is a flood in the base of the unit which activates the float switch and constantly activates the drain pump until the water has gone. Isolate the unit at the power switch and remove the bottom panel under the door panel. Dry up the water as best possible with a towel. Run the unit again and check for any water leaks. You may just have over sudded the unit with too much detergent. Only use 2 teaspoons of powder. To start with while testing don't use any detergent. Good luck

Hope this helps.

HAVE A BOSCH SHU3306 DISHWASHER THAT SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN THE DRAIN CYCLE?

I have the same problem. Under the unit is a white plastic tray. If that is filled with too much water the float will not let water in. As a temporary solution I found if I soak up the water with a towel it will then let water in. I don't however know why I keep getting so much water in the tray. I posted a question about it but have not solved it yet.

The motor turns on but no water is coming into the dishwasher also there was water in the bottom. What could be the problem. Model #shx33a05c/14

Hi Maureen. There are actually a few things that you could check. First of all make sure that the valve under the sink which is in the hot water line that goes to your dish washer is turned all the way on. On is counter clockwise.

If that doesn't fix your problem then you may have some crud in the water level float which is usually inside the dishwasher near the front on the left floor. Lift the little cone up and make sure it is clear.

Third, there is an electrically controlled valve inside the dishwasher which opens to let the hot water into the dishwasher. If that is the problem you may have to have someone change it for you. Let me know how you make out.

Bosch Dishwasher pump keeps emptying

Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the lower access panels and check the tray under the dishwasher. You will probably find it is full of water. Use a towel or a sponge to remove the water. There is a float that will stop the operation of the unit and run the pump if water is in this tray. Test the unit. If there are no leaks, check the drain hose under the sink. THE DRAIN HOSE MUST RUN UP TO ABOVE THE TOP OF THE MACHINE THEN TO THE DRAIN. If the hose is not set up like this, water from the sink drain will flow into the dishwasher and overflow into the tray under it.

If there is no water in the pan under the dishwasher there may be a problem with the pressure switch at the side of the pump housing but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.
