I have a Kenore that is 14 years old. It is not agitating and my husband said he can't fix it and we need to buy a new one.
It is a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care I , Heavy Duty 80 Series- Extra Capacity Plus. I think the model number is 110-92582800, stock # 258628,
seriel # CD1504441. I would like to know how big this one is. I am thinking about buying a front load washing machine and I don't know how they compare. What size to I have now?

If this is the old style that uses a belt, it is not worth fixing. But the problem sounds like the wig-wam is not functioning properly. Most of the time it was a wire broken since it moves back and forth constantly.
you want to grab the agitator and see if you can spin it both ways if so you agitator dogs are bad and all you have to do is take the softner cup if you have one if not there is a cap that just prys up on the top of the agitator then there is a 7/16" bolt in the center take it out and pull the agitator out then the agitator will pull apart top from the bottom in the top part where the bolt is there is 4 looks like dog ears that need to be replaced
12 to 14 years on an Amana, (speed queen) built is about life on that machine, You need a transmission replacement. major work. You could have the machine rebuilt, which while it is being done, you would need a new belt, pump, brake pads, tub seal plus anything else that is rusted. You would be better off $$$ to replace the machine.
