I've always had the MX turned on, everything sounds way better. Then the other day I notice the MX LED is not turned on and the stereo doesn't sound as good. Pressing teh MX button in the lower left hand corner of the display does not do anything. Any ideas???

My first reaction is why you want to use MX? Now that adobe have taken over Macromedia the new version of Dreamweaver is mark ably better by light years than MX. MX does not handle CSS half as well plus Adobe have linked all the apps such as Fireworks, Photoshop and flash to work with Dreamweaver. Adobe do not really support MX anymore so your best bet of getting MX is to search the P to P sites.
If I understand you right, your display is not coming on with your new hardware. Try the eliminaion process:
take out the new things. Install them one by one, and try booting each time you install one. If that passes, turn off and install the next one, until you isolate the one failing. Once you know it, installit properly or come back here for help.
