Why do you want to update the BIOS of your laptop? Be careful about updating your BIOS because it might cause your computer to crash.

Or are you trying to update the drivers in your computer?

If you are having some issues with its performance, then you need to update all the outdated drivers in your computer. Kremar, the information you seek is on the bottom of the Toshiba Satellite laptop. It's in a sticker.

Toshiba = Manufacturer name
A105 = Model Series
Model number will be after that.

Service Pack 2? In Windows XP? That's been out for a number of years.
Scan for viruses, scan for malware, do checkdisk an defrag. Then download and install SP 3. Don't worry about SP2.
If you have Vista, follow the same procedure and then install SP2

3; overheated is it on a blanket? or bed, or desk are all vents cleaned and fan clean and funs runs fast while running too hot

It sounds like you have an issue with the Wireless driver on your system. If it is for the specific model you have listed here then please download and install the driver from the link below.

Try uninstalling sp3 from add or remove programmes in control panel..because some of the drivers are not compatible with sp3

Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers.

Download the hotkey utility from the toshiba web site. I got this errorafter installing service pack 2 for xp. The hotkey utility fixed it.error appeared every time I started windows xp. Go to:http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
and go to downloads, select model and download:
