I ripped music from a cd into mp3 files. When i drag the file or the copy and paste, it tells me that the file is write-protected.

I had problems with my Delstar because I didn't use the Windows "Safely Remove Hardware" procedure that you should do anytime you disconnect a jump drive, external hard drive, or mp3 player. If it shows up as a lettered drive, you need to tell Windows that you're disconnecting.

I use Acoustica to transfer songs--a fine program and well worth the price to download. But my tracks would never be in the right order, even when I told the program to renumber them to preserve order. I was just pulling the Delstar off the USB connection without doing the hardware removal thing. I'm lucky that I didn't wreck the player. Now that I READ the instructions--even though they're in badly translated English--I don't have any problems and my track order is correct. Good luck.

Just to make sure...are you using supported file types? Do the files you are trying to use have DRM (digital rights management) on them that would prevent them from being used on other equipment? This means did you buy them online from a source like i-Tunes or Walmart. Try using a plain jane mp3. if you don't have one put a cd in your computer and rip it as mp3 files in window media player. Then try moving those files to the Delstar. Or try placing files it from another computer.

My mp3 player won't display the music i've downloaded onto it but when I hook it up to the computer it shows that the music is on the device. Why is that?

Itunes wont block other music from appearing, but it is possible that you stored the music in an incorrect folder. Try and make sure the "missing" music is located on the same folder as the Itunes music and this should resolve the problem.

Cant get music files to transfer to my e-matic mp3 player

Most likely, you have not placed the music on the dmp3 player in the right folder. ry different media folders one by one until you see them show up on the mp3 media player.

This type of mp3 player uses the uses the AUDIO folder to play it's sound media target. So try that and see if it works.

hope that helps....

DOES NOT RECOGNIZE PLAYER WHEN CONNECTED

ive got the new version of the sony sonic stage downloaded onto my laptop, and when i plug my player into my laptop via usb cable, the player itself is recognized straight away as a harddrive/removable disk etc,and you have to transfrer music onto the player as from sonic stage music library, and you also have to creatate you own music library via sonic stage, and u can also transfer music from your own music library wich you use via windows media player, and also u can transfer a cd into you sony sonic stage music libraty, and this is similar to when your using the windows media player as to rip a cd or transfer music onto an mp3 player,as i use all diffrent types of mp3 players myself, and i find the archos gmini sx 202 player to be pretty awesome player,as ive got to of them as well, and i use windows media player as to transfer music files onto them, and i cannot transfer any music files onto the sony ones via windown media player as those music file wont show up on the player at all,and ive tried this myself, and it will only work via sony sonic stage.

Problem with my sansa e200

The issue you have described with your portable device in most cases can be resolved by formatting your device. Please follow these steps even if you have already attempted them once before.

Please note that this will remove all music from your device.

Formatting the device in Windows Media Player

1. Open Windows Media Player with your MP3 player connected to the computer

2. At the top of windows Media Player select the Sync tab at the top

3. The MP3 player should be recognized on the right hand side and say "Your Player Name"

4. Above the player name is a button that says "Format Storage Media" click this button to erase all the data from the player

5. Continue with the acknowledgement of erasing all data on disk.
