I have a Toshiba CF3566A television that was working fine until recently. I went to turn it on using the on/off button and nothing would happen. It would not turn on using the remote either. I did notice that after trying to turn it on, the TV made a light ticking sound like a clock. I unplugged the TV and the ticking stopped. When I plugged it back in, it would still not turn on.

Had exact same symptoms as Keran. Turned out to be my daughter had turned the TV off with the other power switch which is a button on the right hand side of the set - we always use the rocker switch on the left hand side and had forgotten about the button. Turned the rocker switch on, then the button and it was back to normal.
Missing power supply rails from the main power regulator board to sub boards is the fault. Contact any experienced service technician to get this set repaired, since the work is skilled one.
Sounds like a common problem with this Toshiba 50inch. Here's another

Might be worth the full power OFF/ disconnect trick, to reset things.
Power supply is shutting down, maybe due to overload. Plasma screen
often uses parallel driving MOSFET transistors. If one fails - it stops
them all working, until it is replaced.
These DLP tvs sometime u unplug suddenly and replug it back wright away,tv will go into protective mode and will not work wright away.Tries tv unplug, replug it back about an hour later, now the tv will reset itself back to the factory setting. The tv should work now.
Toshiba model 57H93 worked perfectly last night. Turned off and went to bed. Turned on this morning, and nothing, it won't turn on. Checked all cords and cables, pushed reset button, and still won't turn on. What could cause this to happen?
I have the same tv and the same problem. The power switch in the front flashes a bunch of times, but nothing else happens. Have you had any success in getting yours fixed?
this is a very common problem among these projection tvs and the best thing to do is toss the damned ting out. i myself had a panasonic tv and it never turned bac on. i waited over 2 months and neer turned on. the lamp in the back has blown and its very costly to fix due to they dont make these tv no more.
this happened to me once and what i found was that i had missed a defective component..
these parts need to be checked for ESR
also check the solder connections....john
I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
