My brand new 245BW has only red hues and everything is pinkish in color when I hook it up to my Apple Macbook laptop through the mini DVI connection. The monitor doesn't have this problem when I hook it up to my IBM laptop through the RGB connection. What do you think is going on?

Screen has odd green hue occasionally when turning on then flashes.

It may be a bad connection in the display adapter. Try another adapter. Beware, some after-market adapters are not wired correctly.

I have a M8149 Cinema dispaly 22" and want to connect to late 2009 Mac mini. The monitor came with a strange adaptor set of ADC input to 1x each of usb, 24Pin 92x rows of 8) male ADC, and another plug...

The Apple 22" Cinema display M8149 (ADC) is one that is not compatible.
It might be better to find another brand display to work with your 2009 Mac Mini. The Apple model A1081 is DVI, but for the age (its 8 years old, the lamps are likely dimmer than new...) I would look for a resolution-compatible DVI input display (Dell Ultrasharp, etc..).

I AM TRYING TO CONNECT MY APPLE STUDIO DISPLAY TO MY MACBOOK PRO AND DONT KNOW HOW OR WHAT CONNECTOR I NEED

Your Studio Display uses an ADC connector, which is very much like DVI but also supplies power for the monitor and adds USB pins so that you can use the USB on the monitor. In order to use it with something that has DVI instead of ADC, you need this adapter from Apple; there are a couple places that have it $5-10 cheaper, but you may as well get it from the people who made it, Apple probably has a better return policy than anyone else in a situation like this. You hook this adapter into the wall and into your laptop, and hook the monitor into the adapter. Hope this helps!

Monitor has developed a permanent dark turquoise hue.

Did you ever try the original monitor on another machine. If the new monitor is displaying the same symptoms as the old one then your video card is the culprit.

Apple 20" display black screen

I've read that aftermarket DVI cable adapters don't work well with this set-up. You might try the Apple DVI to ADC adapter. It's expensive but I see them on eBay or craigslist from time to time at less than half the normal $99 cost.

Red hue and distorted picture

Normally a discolored hue and skewed picture is cause by a faulty connection between the computer and the monitor. Check to make sure your VGA/DVI connectionas are not loose and if needed try swapping the cable.

245BW monitor not working (stranges colors ad aeternam...)

I had the same problems as almost all of these people and the answer seems to be that I uninstall the current Nvidia Drivers and use a previous set. The 169.28 were a real problem for me. Just when I thought it was working I would get the strange wash out and I could not turn it off except with the back power switch, aslo using the DVI turns off all the on screen controls.

Good Luck

Samsung Syncmaster 245BW, can't get it up and running !

Most of the time when this happens it is due to a bad monitor, if you have another pc try to hook this monitor up to that one to see if it actually works, these monitors sometimes get damaged during shipment!
