Needs solution to run my beloved HP Toolbox (or equivalent) under Windows 7 (64 or 32 bit). I loved it under Win XP.

This worked for me:
Do NOT connect scanner before these first few steps
1. Download & save win xp drivers from HP website: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=28447&prodTypeId=15179&prodSeriesId=28441&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228
The 63.4mb file is the only one you'll need
2. Right-click on the saved file and go to its properties. Under the compatibility tab, set the file to run with win xp service pack 3. Apply changes and close properties dialogue.
3. Right click on the same file and choose 'run as administrator'. Accept any windows prompts that may appear and let the program & drivers install.
4. Once the software has finished installing, connect the scanner to your computer (via USB) and turn the scanner on.
5. Restart the computer without unplugging or turning the scanner off.
6. Your scanner should now work fine with the HP Precisionscan Pro utility.

the problem is that windows 7 is not compatible with Print-Master premier 7.0

The program cannot run on windows 7 because it wasn't programmed for it. This is why the error message comes up.

There is nothing you or anyone can do about this.

Click Start and then go to Printers and Faxes (XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win 7)
1. Right Click on your printer Icon 2. Go to Printing Preferences 3. Click the Features Tab 4. At the bottom of the window you will see Printer Services or Device Services. Click on it. 5. This is also the printer's Toolbox.
Try Printing Again. I hope I was able to solve your problem. :)

ProLiant ML 110 server series does not supports windows XP. It Support only the below OS.

1. Windows 2000
2. Windows 2003
3. NetWare 5.1

7. RHEL 4 (32 Bit)
8. RHL 9
9. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8

If you want to force this hardware to support windows XP, then download windows 2003 drivers which is equivalent to XP; but not the same as XP.

This is something you need to talk to Hp about. Hp which maked your old scanner is the only one who would need to rewrite a software package that will work in the new win 7 operating system.

I do have a solution to your issue without calling on HP to help you:

Dual boot your harddrive: One side Win 7 and the other Win xp. Use your Hp scanjet and it's toolbox software in win xp and now you will never have compatiblitity issues with your unit again.

I got mine to work. Just set the compatibility mode for the .exe file to Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Yea unfortunately that card is too old to be supported by vista or windows 7. Because you are running a 64-bit system there is no way to make it work without someone developing 64-bit drivers for it. Given the age, its highly unlikely.

Press the WINDOWS key + BREAK
then the system info will come up. Check the "system" tab. If you have 64bit it will say there.

there is not drivers or software made for Windows XP.
however, you can use the win98 or WinME software. as long as the Windows Xp is running at 32 bits. I have done that with HP flat bed scaner.
don't worry about the non-certified software with MS.
