Question about Kenwood Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

Hi all, my problem is that when I switch off -and on- the car, the auto radio forget all the settings and restart the cd from the beginning, even if I switch off the car when it was running.. That doesn't happen when I turn off only the radio. Thanks for all the info you can give to me, I can't say a lot both I didn't do the installation and my english is very basic. Thank you again!

It sounds as though yourred wire and yellow wire are tied together to a 12 volt wire that turns on and off with the car. You need to move the YELLOW wire to a 12 volt wire that is on all the time.

How do I set my clock on a 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee without the navigation disc or manual?

Hi Teresa, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Teresa, sense I'm not sure if you have a "Touch Screen Radio" OR a "Regular Radio" I'll tell you how it's done on both style's.

FIRST THE TOUCH SCREEN: Simply touch the time. Example: let say it's 12:00 O'clock, simply touch the 12:00 and it will open the time set and adjust the time.

REGULAR RADIO: Touch and hold the "TIME" which is next to the disk opening that you slide your CD into. By holding the time it will cause the time to start flashing, while it's flashing simply turn the knob that says 'PUSH AUDIO / SELECT" this will adjust the HOURS, should you need to adjust minutes simply push the knob and it will switch to minutes for adjustment.

Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at:

I have a Blaupunkt Milano MP34 car CD Radio. I am having great problems tuning the radio into stations. Each time I try to tune in all I can get it to do is scan and it never seems to pick up any radio...

Press on the Menu key and get into Tuner list, look for this function if any.
Seek or Scan --Auto/Manual
PTY must OFF
Seek Sense --- set to high if indication is LO1,2,3 Hi 4,5,6 choose Hi 6

KDC- W4544U Not storing the Radio Presets System does not store the Audio Control CD starts at the beginning every time the system is switched on

Kenwood radios have a yellow memory wire and this wire needs constant power even when the switch is off .thats what holds your memory. make sure it is not connected to the red wire. the red wire is a switched connection and should go off when the switch is turned off. this is the radios main power. Hope this helps write back if not and if so leave feedback.

All stored settings are lost everytime i switch of my car.

You have not installed your radio correctly........

there is suppose to be 2 power in for the radio
1 that holds memory for the radio has to be picked from a line that has power available to it even if the car is switched off
and the other just to switch on the radio itself...normally responding to ignition
check to verify that you have connected the memory power for the radio correctly and that that line has power even though the car is switched off......
use dc tester to test that it has power available

This will work for ya
keep me posted

ACER 9410CD/DVD-ROM driver not found.

Hi there,
I am assuming you are using XP,

update the drivers via device manager and select the device with the yellow question mark, right click update, reboot and restart

if nothing then remove the device via add/remove programs
select device and remove, reboot and restart

should auto recognise and install the drivers for you,
dont forget to do SP2 updates
Good luck with that,

Let me know how it goes thanks

Stored settings and auto eject

Hi. SOunds like another case of power problems. Your deck has 2 power wires. One is yellow th eother is red. One is constant 12 volt battery power, the other is a switched 12 volt power, only has power with the ignition key on or on accesory. Get yourself a test light. I almost bet you do not have the constant 12 volt power to the deck, therefore your deck cannot hold its presets...

Eclipse CD3422

When you first set up the stereo, you inserted a security CD which was a CD of your choice. You need to just place that same CD in and it should restart your radio
