My speedo dosent work i have a seatleon 1.416v on w 09
Check on top of transmission,you should see a small harness. Pull it out and see if all the wires are intact. If they are go to a local junk yard and pull out the same piece and install on your car...did that for my car and it worked...good luck

99 VW Cabrio 2.0L (electronic). Jiggled wires behind dash and it works intermittently. I did this after I found the after market CD changer sloppy install had fallen on top of fuse box (shakes head, from day one had problems with that install, but was a Christmas present and really nice changer)
Chances are they may have piggy backed a fuse that runs the Speedo, isolate that fuse and look for a power tap on it, the diagram of the fuse box should be inside the fuse box cover. I have seen all kinds of problems after aftermarket radio's alarms were installed, the people that do the install are paid by the job, or what we call "flat rate", they rush so they can make more bucks, often cutting corners and screwing up the fuse box in the process. If you find that they caused your problem don't let them slide, make them pay a dealer to repair the problem, then you know it's done right.
