Hello, My Samsung CLP-300n will not print on my network. Through USB it is no problem. I've tried to change the static IP-adress with setIP but the program won't find the printer. With smartpanel I can make changes through USB. After changing IP-adress still the printer is still not detected. I've tries several computers but it won't work. What to do, is it possible to get the printer back to standard setting (and how do you do that) or is there an other solution?

SOURCE: Samsung ML 2010 under mac os X 10.5

I found a solution that worked for me by prowling around various Apple discussion forums. The two keys to the solution for me were numbers 3 and 5 below.

1. Opened print/fax preferences
2. Opened Add printer by clicking the +
3. For protocol, select HP jetdirect-socket (not IPP or LDP)
4. Determined the IP address for my Belkin wired print server and typed this into the Address line of printer setup
5. Manually selected the printer driver as ML-2010. It is in the list of drivers but is in the M's, not under the Samsung drivers.
6. This worked for me. I've seen reports from people who had to power cycle their print server and/or printer as well.

This is a manufacturing defect. Call Samsung at 1-866-726-4249 and explain the problem. They will replace your imaging unit free although you will most likely need to provide a credit card for them to hold until they receive the defective unit back from you.

IP address of printer on the network has changed

You have to use the utility call SetIP that comes with the printer. Check the CDs. It is easy to use.

Network printer connected to di-520 router

First of all, let's look in the same manual.
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/200708/20070816150129484_Network_Printer_EN.pdf

If you've not given the Samsung an IP address in the same domain as your router, then insert your Samsung CD and let it discover the printer. Then complete the instructions by giving it a name and IP address (I usually use 192.168.x.120-125 so I know where they are in all sites). Now you can use the Samsung software or manually configure the printer by using TCP/IP as outlined in page 15 of the manual. It's pretty straightforward as long as you remember that it's not a network printer when you use TCP/IP and you have to both delete any failed attempts of installation and don't let the software "find your printer automatically".

Hope this gets you up and running.

Samsung CLP 300 - Drivers keep disabling

The printer is probably not getting the same IP address every time. Set a static IP address outside of the range being used for DHCP addressing. If the entire range is set for DHCP, you will need to adjust that range so the printer's IP is no longer in it.

Question: Samsung CLP-600N, Vista

Possibly two problems here.

1) Printer on before PC to get a print - an IP address problem ??

Is the IP adress of the printer a STATIC address (usually works better and more reliably), or is obtaining its address from a DHCP server (typically a router, wireless router etc)

Doing an Information print (MENU, ENTER, ENTER) should tell you how the printer is set.

2) Unable to get multple copies.

Possibly a driver problem - get the first sorted out then see if it still does it.
