Water collects on the bottom of the freezer i own a frigidaire s/s frs26zrg, water also comes out onto the floor on the left side. Doesn't look like its coming from inside of the frig saw it once as seemed like it was just coming from the bottom. Could i have two different problems going on at the same time. When i did see the water start to come out i looked inside of the freezer and saw nothing was wet. Spoke tyo someone at sears that told me it might be the drip pan underneath but i don't see how to get to it our where exactly it is. Removed all the dust as best i could.

UNPLUG REFRIG. Empty freezer. Wipe interior dry. Check defrost hole at back of freezer & clean out as much as you can. Pull out refrig. Take off back cardboard cover. Lie on floor and look in. Bottom right under the defrost hole there is a black rubber hose that empties into a drip tray. Black mold grows inside and plugs it up. Get a thin aquarium brush and push it up the tube to clear it. Put the tube back into the tray to drain. Put everything back. Plug it in. Fixed.

Thank you very much, that did it on my refrig. I would suggest to flush the drain hole with water while you have it disconnected, more crud came out of mine. Done deal. :)

Hey friend, thank you for the post!

From my understanding you have water leaking out of the freezer of your Frigidaire refrigerator and onto the floor. I would like to ask you a couple of additional questions. First, do you see where the water is coming from? Secondly, what is the model number of your appliance? You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside cabinet of the fresh food compartment normally on the left side in a top mount. But on a side by side it can be found on the right hand side. I look forward to hearing back from you. -Matt

How to get to the drain line on my Frigidaire side by side refrigerator model number MRS22WNGW7. Water keeps coming out of the freezer side onto the floor (front left side). I was told it could be a...

I just opened up the back of my Frigidaire Side by Side counter depth to find the drain hose was bent and collapsed coming right out of the bottom of the freezer and the pan was dry as a bone. It doesn't look like my drain hose has ever drained a drop of water. The freezer bottom is full of ice And the rust and chipping paint under the bottom of the freezer door along with the mysterious puddles of water every morning means the drain system definetely never worked. Frigidaire should be responsible for this. This, along with the ice maker rebuild I had to do,... after ice was spilling all through the fridge. I actually had warrantty left on that one and called customer support in India to find out I could make the repair myself. Yep I had to do it. Frigidaire you failed.

Water collecting and freezing in bottom of freezer

Hi, Remove the rear inside panel of the freezer and locate the drain hole under the evaporator coil. Remove the ice and flush the drain hole with hot water to make sure it is free. You can try running a soft wire through the drain also.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

FRIGIDAIRE FRS22ZRGD2

you may need to clean the drain tube again. the only other place that water may come from is the ice maker if it is over flowing. this however would be very obvious. use some thing like a length of cloths line cable to "snake" the drain after you defrost it. the fastest way to defrost it is to use hot water and a turkey baister. good luck.
