Recently my Samsung Acclaim phone will not send text messages. My message has an envelope with a red circle on it. I did re-boot the phone and it send all my messages. Why is this doing this?

Envelope usually indicated a text message. Usually, if you have unread text messages your little envelope will have a number one or number two, etc in red on it.

You will need to go to your text message icon to open your text message screen.. It might be called *Inbox* but it's not email only text or SMS messages.

Press the envelope button, & it will access the SMS text messaging feature.
Starting on page 15, the manual (http://www.dorousa.us/ProductManuals/Manuals/Manual_Doro_PhoneEasy_612__US_CAN_en_v11(r6567).pdf) provides further instructions.

maybe you have to many messages in your inbox. try to delete some and see if it works.

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it


this solves your messaging problem ...

Restore your phone to factory settings.

go to message setting, text message, text meassage center, then try changing to another center, ( i've got 3 dif centers to pic from but only the first one lets me send text messages)

Normally, the red spot on an envelope in the sent messages means that your text has not been delivered to the destination phone number the text was sent to.

In some other phones like some nokia phones, there will be an exclamation point "!" on the envelope of the failed delivery sent message.

A message may fail to be delivered due to a number of reasons, like network errors, invalid phone number or if the number is off, or the message has expired (a message expires if it is not delivered within a period of 24 hours).

You may try to resend the message that has failed to be sent.

Your inbox could be full, try deleting some of you text messages.

Go in to the Outbox, click on the message, if it has a red arrow on the envelope icon then the message has sent. For more info click "Read" message then on the centre menu bar go down to Message status, this will tell you if it's sent and what time, etc. There isn't a 'sent' box.
