I found a round rubber gasket in the bottom of the diswasher inside--looks like a royal blue fan belt. What is it? Can i run the dishwasher without it installed?

SOURCE: blue rubber belt found in dishwasher after cycle

Dishwashers don't have belts only washing machines and tumble driers have them.

SOURCE: The rubber gasket inside the door falls off.

The gasket will have to be replaced. I've had customers with this problem and the only way to correct it is to replace the gasket

SOURCE: Maytag MDB5100AWB Dishwasher not draining

More than likely the filter is clogged, remove the spray arm(there is a threaded cap in the center of the arm twist it to the left, then remove the # 15 or 20 torx(star shaped) screws out of the filter cover(around the edges)The filter is round and runs around the outer edge of the pump housing it lifts right out, clean it and reverse the process. It's the most common issue with not draining on this model.

LG Dishwasher leaks!! New E1 Code just fixed an HE Code, gasket not broke, one of the electrical connections underneath had come loose so I just clipped it back on. I have not hooked everything up again...

http://lgdishwasher.yolasite.com/ MINE JUST STARTED AGAIN TODAY. SWOLLEN BOTTOM DOOR GASKET LOOKS LIKE HILLS UP AND DOWN. ALLOWING WATER TO OVER FLOW DOOR BOTTOM. GETS TRAPPED BEHIND GASKET. PAN HAS LITTLE WATER WHEN YOU OPEN DOOR. BUT CAN SEE RUN OUT OVER EDGE WHEN RUNNING WITHOUT OUTER DOOR SKIN, ALSO LEAKS AT TOP CORNERS DUE TO DEFORMED CORNER GASKET. THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE GASKET ROUND IN CORNERS TO KEEP IT SEALING, HAD TO MAKE C METAL CLIPS 4 INCHES LONG TO HOLD BOTTOM GASKET TIGHT TO BOTTOM PAN, USED 4 CLIPS AND TWO SMALLER AT ENDS

Soap bubbles and small amount of water seeping is from bottom of door. Opened for visual inspection. I removed lower rack and found that a rubber gasket/seal (white) that is attached to door does not run...

with out a model number i cant see what you see,,,but it does not matter that much i doubt if its the seal...what to look for is something causing the arms or sump to spay down...the water in the bottom of a dishwasher stands still almost except for the water that return off the dishes and down the sides,,,now it never enough to make the water in the dishwasher bottom wave up,,when something causes it to wave up you get splash over from the right or left cornors.now what to look for...blocked or defective spray arms,,check well if not blocked could be worn split at weld,,check your sump fitler over for tightness of screws if lose will cause to wave,,check for unseen blockage ..ie plastic spoon and make sure a person did not use dishwashing liquid ie joy.dawn.if so flush with cold water only ,.also old dishwasher detergent will cause this bubble over ..good luck

Anti freeze is leaking between the motor and the fan housing , what are the possible causes ? It looks like part of a round rubber gasket is hanging out ?

Sounds like your waterpump has gone bad. Could be fan belt broke that drives waterpump (would explain large rubber pce hanging out) Have a reputable shop look at it for you.

Dishwasher is leaking

Gasket probably became dislodged, replace door gaskets, at 4 years old I would replace the gaskets, they are not expensive.

Black stuff in the bottom of the dishwasher

That black or gray stuff you're talking about is actually a combination of old food particles and soap deposits. The stuff builds up in the corners of the lower front areas of the tub and right under the inside of the door where it closes over the tub front. These areas can develop "scungy" deposits because these are areas that the dishwasher doesn't always clean and/or water remains pooled. A little routine cleaning about once a week around the bottom lip of the door and the door gasket with a damp sponge will prevent this build up. Hope this helps you.
