If you have a cable box or satellite tv receiver connected to this television, and you are using the cable company/satellite tv company remote control the captions are not coming from your television. They are not controlled by your television or your television's remote. There is usually a hidden menu where captions can be enabled and disabled. You reach it by turning off your cable box and then immediately pressing the menu button. If your cable box/satellite tv receiver does not work this way the company can troubleshoot/walk you through removing the captions. If they cannot request to speak to a supervisor.

If this does not apply to you because you don't have a cable box or satellite tv receiver then there is usually a closed caption button on your remote control even if it is under a hidden fla or there is a closed caption option in the television's setup menu that can also be accessed with the television's remote control.

I gave my number to a quiz online. how can i block them?

I know for a lot of those companies that have them automated texts, you can text back the word stop. Only that word in the text. No signatures or anything. If they don't stop after that I would suggest talking with your provider about stopping this. Hope this helps!!

Are you using HDMI connecters? Either way make sure that your video input is plugged snuggly in on the in and out slots. Not trying to be captin obvious just pointing it out.
