My files from ms word 2007 won't work on other PC using xp operating system

As I know, MS office is a software to use for office works such as typing document, calculate and basic office database. MS Office software is NOT an operating system. You can not change you operating system to MS Office 2007. I think you meant is: Install Service Pack 3 of Microsoft Office 2007 on your computer. To do so, you first need the Microsoft Office 2007 software on your computer or you need MS Office 2007 disk. The Service Pack 3 of MS Office 2007 is the update only not the actual software to use.

Docx file is the default file format for MS word 2007 and 2010. If you have those application then you can open it easily. If you have the 2003 and below version, you will need to download the Office 2007 compatibility pack and install it to your PC then you can open the docx file

Surely You can.
Your pc must have at least 1 gb memory
Office 2007 need a lot of pc resource and consume a lot of memory.
Better to upgarde mem to 2 gb .It will work fine on that.

You can open docx extension files only with MS Office 2007. If you wish to open it in earlier versions you have to save it again in compatible mode. Click on File (top left most corner with the logo), Save As, Word 97-2003 Document. Just using Save option will save your document as "docx" and not "doc" document.

Then do a search for 'all files and folders' - search for both Acrobat 6.0 and then Acrobat 7.0, with the options "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search subfolders" checked. Delete all of those related files found.
You should do this search and delete whenever you uninstall any programs. It will remove lots and lots of leftover junk files and corrupted files taking up room on your hard drive. It will also give you a "clean install" when you reinstall or install an updated program. (Do this ESPECIALLY when updating to a NEW anti-virus programs and “Internet Security Suite” programs such as McAfee or Norton etc.)

Download and install "Registry Mechanic" then do the updates prior to running it and removing anything for the first time. This will get rid of all your current Registry errors, prior to installing or reinstalling.
