Switch it off for 10 seconds .. then press button TV/AV
its probably due to power fluctuation ..
if the problem occurs check for local warranty service or service center

Have a westinghouse lcd tv 50inch model ew50t5kw and would like to know before changing any parts or boards what causes a blue screen no sound or picture

  1. Frank: Verizon. com says try this: Change your VCR's Channel to 3 or 4. Most blue screen issues are caused by the VCR not being set to Channel 3 or 4. If changing the VCR's channel (using the channel buttons on the VCR or from the VCR remote control) did not change your TV screen, go to step 2.
  2. Make sure your TV is not in Video mode. There are three possible ways to change your TV's mode using your TV remote control: 1) Press a Mode button, toggle through the options and select TV, 2) Press a Video button to change your TV's mode from Video to TV or 3) Press Menu, locate Mode or Audio/Video setup and select TV from one of the options. If you are not sure how to change your TV's mode, see your TV's user guide for more information.
  3. Check to make sure your set-top box is plugged in and turned on.
  4. Check to see if other TVs (connected to different outlets) have a blue screen. If they do, contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center.

Hi there I have a 20" Humax IDTV - LU20-TD2, it

Look for any jammed buttons on the remote or on control panel. Try changing the input device to something that you are sure, works.

Trying to connect dvd player to sanyo LCD32K30TD. get picture but no sound.

Have you connected the red and white rca/composite cables to the appropriate output from dvd player to the input on the tv that is the same as the video. From there make sure the settings are correct on the dvd player as well as the tv. If you need further assistance let me know.
Thank you,

TV stuck on blue video screen

This usually happens when you are on a source that doesn't have a signal such as a channel with no signal or an AV input that is not connected.

You should look for a button that has TV/VCR or TV/VIDEO on it. I've guessing that you've already tried to change the channel but if not try that.

Last ditch effort in that case may be to unplug the TV for a few secouds. Warning- this may wipe out any settings you have entered such as the channel programming (which channels to skip while surfing) but along with that goes the blue screen.

Sanyo Television blue screen

Check the input (control) board where USB, antenna, HDMI enter the back) for burned out resisters or capacitors. The main connector usually has a lot of pins and the voltages listed for each of the pins on the board. Check the voltages.

TV screen on video 2 and remote died

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. Good Luck
