Question about Cameras
Are you connecting the camera to the PC with a USB Cable?? Some cables only contain wires for charging the device, while others contain the cables for data reading as well. If your cable is not the one supplied with the camera, it might not contain the wires to support data transfer (or might be pinned out slightly differently).
1. Use the USB cable that came with the camera or go to solution 2.
2. Remove the memory card and insert it into a reader that connects to your computer. I prefer to do all my pics this way because the computer thinks it's just another portible storage device and you can do everything through windows explorer. You can get a reader from lots of places, like newegg, tiger direct or walmart for well under $20, and they can read many different kinds of cards. If you take lots of pics, this would be the way to go because you can then pick up another memory card and just swap out the card if the first one gets full... kinda like replacing the film until you get time to download the information to your computer.
Hope that helps. Please rate accordingly.
