I have a Samsung Ln32A450c1d lcd TV. Half of the screen has up vertical lines with difference color between them the other half works fine.sound is ok. Could it be the T-con board or the main board? How could I tell?

The problem is mostly defective LED back lights strips inside of the panel.

I hate to give you bad news but I believe this will be a panel issue and it's not going to be fixable. You can try a different tcon board but I don't think it will help

probably the 2 ribbon/flex cable(s) aren't connected correctly between the T-CON board and the Scan boards that are connected to the screen/panel!
If not replace T-CON board, and if that does'nt work
the screen/panel is most likely bad!

you have faulty t-con board that need to be replace.

lcd panel is deffective..

If you can open your LCD and clean all connector given and refit properly.don't use force to remove connector just try to softly remove.

there is a defected capacitor in the vertical circuit trouble shoot and replace. or if the vertical circuit is separate then replace the whole board.good luck
