As long as I'm asking, this is taken directly form XM ordering sire...can someone friggin decode? "You can display your Radio ID by tuning your radio to channel 0, one down from XM Preview. Please check your ID code carefully. The letters "I", "O", "S", and "F" are not used. "

How can I control volume on my Pioneer SX-205 receiver from the couch?

Hello,
There is a couple ways you can do this.
1.you can use the maufacture remote control, or if you dont have one you would need a universal.
2.If your receiver is hidden, or behind closed doors than you will need a radio frequency capable universal remote

Blown Fuse / SX - 205 / Pioneer reciever

Check the area where the fuse was...it's usually marked on the board or next to the fuse holder. Check the size also, 2 types 5x20mm or 1/4x1 1/4 in. Usually slow blow.

When i moved from home to home my reciever didn't do it. There where now cables conected and when i put him on he says within a few seconds OVERLOAD could it be the transistor?

may be Output transistors are blown on one side. NTE replacement P/N = NTE2329 & 2328. They are about $10 ea. You'll have to take an Ohm meter to figure out which one is shorted.

"muting" shows up the screen and I no longer get volume, can not the muting off as I can not see where I would change that setting.

Are you sure it's not the TV telling you that it's muted? I went down the tubes on that one myself.

The receiver's Mute can be defeated by just rotating the volume knob upward. Ditto with TV's.

SX-205. Left channel doesn't work.Internal problem. Should I change any semiconductors / transistors, diods or other/? How to find out, which semiconductor is bad? Please, help me.

Check the final output relays first. They are mechanical and have been known to fail after so many cycles. The click you hear about 3 seconds after you push the power button are those relays.

Overload

Have you checked your wiring connections? Wires could possibly be touching each other making it short out and giving you that "Overload". If not that then I would say it could possibly be a fuse that has gone bad inside. ??? Just some suggestions. The reason I say that it could be the wiring is because when I hook up a system and the wires accidently touch each other it overloads the system past a certain volume. Again I would check my wires first and move on from there.
