When using an Epson EMP 821 projector with a portable Dell Latitude D620 the image on the portable is normal but the image being projected on the screen is distorted to a smaller size

Check Epson"s support site to see if there is a driver for the projector. Some projectors require a driver for the visual clarity, and lots of times the driver disc doesn't come with the projector, go figure, and don't ask me why.

Hi you must tell the laptop to display out on the projector, how to do that?! you must toggle the display path Generally, there is button ( with Fn keys ) have dusplay screen sample on it, use it with Fn to toggle the display Display have 3 modes:
laptop screen
outside LCD projector or monitor,
or bith 1 + 2
you can press the keys 3 times ( at maximum ) to have the display on both laptop screen and projector
Hi, Do the following for setting the screen. 1. Press the Menu button 2. Select Projection In the Projection option, Select Front : When the projector is in front of the screen.
Select Front/Ceiling : When the projector is in front of the screen and suspended from the ceiling.
Select Rear : When the projector is behind the screen. Select Rear/Ceiling : When the projector is behind the screen and suspended from the ceiling.
Press MENU on the remote control (as show on picture below)

Press down arrow key to select ADVANCED
press ENTER on the remote control
use down arrow key to select ceiling (as show in picture)
press RIGHT arrow key to select OFF to ON status
press MENU key to exit menu
(the projected images are horizontally and vertically reversed.)
You may have to setup the EXTERNAL resoloution for a bigger picture than can generally display on the lappy's screen... there is uaually a setting for the dual display setup... Right Click desktop and click Properties, the video settings can be acessed from there... Also ensure ya have the latest most up-to-date drivers for ya lappy's Video too.
It sounds like it is related to the red filtered glass before the prism inside the projector. When this gets to hot, it will burn a spot on the glass that causes the yellow spot. I have seen in happen on alot of epson 53c projectors. This has a red filter that is easily scratched when it gets too hot. It will actually look burnt.
