Remove the card from the camera and use the card reader on your PC to scan the memory card. It is possible there are errors on the card. If so format after copying all the files from the card. Now if the camera shows an error the fault is with an interface issue with the motherboard. make sure that the card holder tray is clean, blow air to dispel any dirt and also try with another card to confirm the case.
The C:13:01 error code indicates the issue with the Media used in the Camera.
This may be due to the: Format Error of the Internal Memory. Un-formatted Memory Stick Duo. Broken Memory Stick Duo. Memory Stick Duo type error. When the Camera cannot Read or Write the data in the Memory Stick Duo.
This can be resolved by Formatting the Internal Memory and Memory Stick Duo. If not resolved, try inserting a new Memory Stick Duo which is supported. Try power resetting, remove and reinsert the Memory Stick etc.
This will resolve the issue, if not the Camera may require service.

Hello. There several causes for this error code from bad card to bad camera. Some of the Chinese cards are counterfiet copys and could be a problem. Try rubbing the contacts on the card with a pencil eraser to clean them up. wipe with a clean cloth and try again. Try the card in someone elses camera to see if it works. Leave a message here if it still doesn't work , I'll look around some more.

i have the same problem..
I have a Sony Cybershot DSC T70 and it keeps saying "Reinsert memory stick" whenever I turn on the camera or slide down the camera lid. Also, whenever I try to view the pictures on my laptop it shows "Please reinsert the memory stick" something along those lines. As I have been researching for the solution, I would have to format the memory card. However, I wouldn't want to lose the pictures as I just took many as from the holiday last week. The only problem is the memory card, I tried using another memory card and it works fine with the camera. There is nothing wrong with the camera.\r\nCan someone please help me how to solve the memory stick problem? It would be great. Ty.
Also please check whether you're using a Compatible Memory Stick with the Camera.
It's not recommended to Format the Memory Stick in the Computer. The Memory Stick should be Formatted in the Camera only, other wise such error messages can occur.
Please try using a different Memory Stick and check whether the issue persists with the other Memory Stick. This is to check whether the issue is with the Memory Stick.
