The phone got a little wet I took it apart to dry off and run a blow dryer through it and after I finished and turned the phone on it just says "download."

Phone went through wasing machine, dried it out, and the screen displays "Download". Would it be that the water caused a short that wiped out memory?

Phone got wet - dried it out but no visuals - what can I do?

A phone Technician would best handle that. Most likely the circuitry would have gotten wet.
>A blow dryer May could have helped a little better after getting most of the water out.

Samsung galaxy lll got wet. Major functions seem to work, however, the microphone doesn't let you hear the other end of the call even though you have made a connection

i will give a little secret.Put your cell phone open in a recipient with a quantity of Rice, this will absorb the humidity by 24 hours. Please keep the rice cover all the cell phone. and try again.Of course after you take the cell blow with some gum dryer hair.

My phone got wet just a little bit and ive tried drying it with a blow dryer and taking the battery out and stting it alone.what do i do? i only touched it while my hand was a little wet

the blow drier was a bad idea, any time electornices get wet, you should power them off if not already done so, then take them apart (battery and any other parts that are not going to ruin warrenty) and then just sit them out and let them dry naturaly, the heat from a drier could damage components, do not attempt to re power the device until you 100% know that it is dry on the inside to prevent short circuting

My phone got wet

Try removing the battery, using a blow dryer to air everything out in battery compartment. If there are any tiny screws or way to open up the phone itself, open it up, and blow everything inside there too.

Let it dry out completely and then see if it will work again. My guess is no, because once the circuits get wet, they are pretty much damaged and irrepairable.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

I got my Palm Centro wet. I took the screws out

do not put your phone in ANY liquid, even rubbing alcohol! any liquid puts your phone at risk of corrosion in places you cannot see. even if it works fine now, that is no guarantee that there is not still small amounts of moisture inside that may still cause damage later. take your phone apart, put all the pieces of your phone in a ziploc bag of uncooked rice, and LEAVE IT IN THERE for at least 24 hours. having the battery in at all when there may be moisture inside puts your phone at risk for more damage. save yourself trouble later by leaving it alone in the rice for as long as you can. two days would be better.

Dropped phone in water

SIM is probably bad or a little wet. but wait and let everything dry out and see if it works. Mine was soaked and the next morning worked fine. at least you probably won't have to buy a new phone.

Phone won't turn off

Wierd things started to happen to my son's phone when got it wet. I tried the tricks I found on the web. Things like: putting it in the oven to dry it out, and letting it sit for a few days. I ended up taking the phone completely apart. It was a little tricky, but since the water voided the warranty, I figured I had nothing to lose. It will a little bit of work, but I got it all apart. I figured it someone would assemble it, it ought to come apart. I found some 'corrision' on some of the flat ribbion cable connections. I think there was one for the screen and another for the keypad. After doing that, it has worked just as good as when it was new. It has been about 8 months since I did that. One thing I will caution, is becareful with the slide mechanism. May sure you see how it is put together. One of the springs popped out on me and it took a bit to figure it out.
