The drain line should be no more than 72 inches above the floor, or you will experience drain problems. The following link explains all this to you.

I hope this helps you.

My washing machine spins and rinses but does not fill with water and wash, what could the problem be. It is a top loader

Does it pump the water in?, I made a small mistake of just running my drain hose to the floor drain in a basement suite once. with out the hose being up above the rim of washer, the water just runs right on out. made a mount with 2 inch pvc and ran a tube to the drain and it worked then.

Whirlpool WTW5520SQ0, when draining the water is coming out at such a fast rate it's backing out of pipe and on the floor.

Hi,
For many of the new washers you need to have a 2" standpipe and trap... the older 1-1/2" standpipes and traps will not handle the higher volume of the new pumps...

Lint build-up on clothing after coming out of washing Machine

ck to be sure drain hose is not more than 6-8 inches into standpipe ..standpipe is 30-36 inches to top from floor ..drain hose does not fit too tight in standpipe any of the above conditions may cause water to siphon out during wash or rinse resulting in not enough water in tub to carry lint away during drain
