GE WSXH208 Washer - Filter is CLEAN - Could it be the Control Circuit Board? Live in a condo where many residents have this washer and experienced the same problem. Final spin never kicks in fully and leave wash very WET - it's not a balanced load problem, and I have cleaned the filter. others have replaced the control board via a repair man, but i don't have the $$ how or what is it I need to replace so that my clothes will spin dry? Thanks so MUCH - Just a girl trying to do her best....

Lucky me Sean - it's located in the back - and guess what! I found the Wiring Diagram for the Speed Control Board.

Went out to the GE Parts Site and typed in the part no: 134574500 and no luck - seems like I'll have to call the company to get the part!

    Thanks again for your help!

Hi this either a speed control board which is located in the bottom of the washer, or a bad latch assembly on the front where the door latches into, the board is the more expensive of the 2 but usually the board is the problem. there is not a very easy test for either one, one quick test for the latch is if you start the washer and it locks the door and you let it run 2 mins or so and then turn the washer back off how quickly can you open the door? 10 sec? or like 30-40sec? If its like 5-10secs you have a bad latch. Otherwise i would lean towards a bad board. The board is about 125-150.00.

    Thanks Sean!

Where would I find the speed control board? Is in front near the drain, or further back?

I read the "door issue" on another post - and it seems find; I ran that test and it takes like 30 secs before I can open the door.

My next step is to dig that speed control board out - how difficult will that bee?

The speed control is in the bottom i believe ont his model there is a rear panel on the back of the washer, that has screws in it, just remove that and down and to the right there will be a board that has a cover over it, the entire assembly comes out, its in a very tight spot should have 2 screws holding it in and 3 or 4 small wire assemblies connected to it, the other model you get from the front there is a front panel at the bottom that has too screws on the very front of the washer you would take those out pull down on the panel and the board would also be to your right. I believe you have the former of the 2 though. Also the rear panel is metal and very very sharp like a razor you will want to lay a towel down over it so you dont cut your arm while you try to remove the board.

Thats because its a frigidaire part number we dont make this model, you can give that part number to a local parts place they will be able to get it or you can call GE but the GE version will cost more almost guarunteed.

Take back panel off and see if the belt broke or possibly came off the pulleys. Should go from motor pulley up and around big pulley on drum back.

Why is my GE front load washer is non responsive. The control panel went blank. Not a power issue since the outet is good. Model GBVH5140HWW

It could still be a plug or wire problem but if not a power problem inside the machine or a printed circuit board or other internal failure. It will not be possible to diagnose the problem without a lot more inforamtion.

Washer stops, cloths inside dripping wet

If you have the model WSXH208A which is in the heading of your post,.... There isn't really a filter. What he did was remove the two screws at the very bottom of the lower front panel to allow that panel to be removed. Then, he removed the water pump to get to whatever was obstructing the water flow. The larger rubber inlet area just before the pump is designed to catch some objects, but occasionally a button, coin, guitar pick, or other object will block the water flow there or inside the pump.

HELP!!

We've had this problem for about a yr when i finally firgured out how to correct it.
the problem is that the circuit board is attached to the washer, when it starts to shake it causes the connections to loosen and theats the fault code you get.
How I fixed this was to suspend the circuit from a bungie strap this will allow the washer to shake all it wants and the circuit board is stable, connections stay tight andwasher works fine, after 6 months not one error code at all
