Some dishwashers have a soft food disposal inside. If something is hung up, it will grind or hum for a long time. If this is the problem, it will eventually go away.

Clean light flashes and dishwasher will not start

As per the manual for the dishwasher, this error code means that there is a problem with the heater circuit and that you call it in for service.

Locked on heat dry setting

Could the model number actually be KUDE70CVSS2? All of the Kitchenaid dishwashers listed on their site have 4 letters between the numbers.

If this is the right model, then the Heat Dry/Lock is probably indicating the Control Lock is active. Hold the Heat Dry button for at least 4 seconds.The Control Lock which prevents anyone from changing or starting the dishwasher by accident; press and hold for 4+ seconds to toggle it on and off. You can find the manual for most Kitchenaid appliances through their support site: https://www.kitchenaid.com/customer-service/manuals/ . The use of the Control Lock feature is on page 5 of the manual.

Kitchenaid kud124se diswasher manual

The owners manual can be found at http://www.manualslib.com/manual/722766/Kitchenaid-Kud124se.html#manual. If you remove the bottom panel there is a service diagram tucked in a plastic sleeve that is affixed to the back of the panel (the L shaped panel, not the flat one).
