SOURCE: i am having problem with tv tuner card

i think your tv tuner is defective even if it is new, still factory defects can happen. try to install it in another computer, if you experience the same problem then it is defective. but have you checked your device status at device manager under sound, video and game controller. if you see a yellow apostrophe or a question mark it indicates that your tv tuner is havent been installed yet. try to double click the device and you'll see update driver then try to intall it by choosing automatically driver, be sure that the cd driver is inside your cd rom.

SOURCE: windows madeia center

This is all I found. If this tuner isn't digital ready chances are there isn't going to be much support for this and you will have to get a new one by next February.

Here is the current software link:

SOURCE: cannot access bios or find

If you wish to change some setting in BIOS, you can try the alternative method to access its properties.
Go to Start --> Open Run --> Type in msconfig
Here you can change the boot timing and Normal, Selective or Diagnostic Startup.
Also disable the startup applications. For BIOS go to update as per your Motherboard and Computer configuration from Microsoft website and MoBo Website.

We have windows xp media center 2005 purchased in 2006-7 and I wasn't paying attention to our Help and Solution page until one day I saw that it said the Professional not the Media Center how can I change...

Hi There,

Windows Media Center Edition is exactly that; an "Edition" of XP Pro. If you go to My Computer and then click on System Properties, you will likely be comforted to see that you indeed have Windows Media Center Edition 2005.

Xp media center says no ntsc tuner installed

Okay, Media center does not work with some Wintv HVR's yet it will work with the software it came with and sometimes media center will use the wintv software to make it work but its sketchy. If you want a more media center compatiable card look at www.microsoft.com website they have a list of media center compatable Tv tuner cards, Trust me I am having the same problem with my tuner card now and its not wintv its a RCA and its under windows 7 this is just the thing here not all card work with media center.

Windows xp mce

Do you have tv tuners installed and setup properly? Media Center 2005 is just the software, the computer needs to have hardware tuners in it and hooked up to external antenna or cable.
