I have no picture only sound. Before it went we had 4 horizontal black lines going across the screen, they were there for about 1 month. Then last night the screen just went black. Thanks for any help. Debbie

LG 60PZ750-ug TV no picture or sound

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt1TBOGRStoSome common symptoms of a problem that could be the y-buffer is that you have no picture on the screen, you have black lines going across the screen. Those lines are typically horizontal and they go all the way across the entire screen. These black lines could also be caused by damage to these ribbon cables.

Permanent horizontal black lines on my 50

Ive got bad news for you, about 90% of the time black horizontal lines are caused by the panel failing, your going to need a new TV. You can try replacing the timing board but the chances of it fixing it are slim..

Is this a LCD TV? IF it is it could be something on the video processing board. Let me know the model # and well will go from there. Thank you Jay

Horizontal (dashed) line across screen

On the KDFE55A20 this sounds like a bad Q-Box. I would get an estimate from a Sony authorized servicer as this part may be quite expensive. On the 55A10 model this may be the B-Block and is also quite expensive. Getting an on-sit estimate would be the first step I suggest. Again go with an authorized Sony servicer. Call Sony or go to Sony.com for customer service. Good Luck

No Picture but I have Sound

If your TV uses the CTC 203 chassis or similar one, you more than likely have a loose solder joint on the horizontal output transistor base circuit. It's a little inductor (coil covered with red epoxy about 1/2 in. long). If this coil opens up or stops making connection, you lose the horizontal drive pulse to the horizontal output transistor thus causing the screen to go black due to the loss of high voltage.
